Kevin Barrett was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Kevin apprenticed with his renown sculptor father, Bill Barrett, and learned to weld and work with aluminum, steel, and bronze. His sculptures have expressive content, with energy and rhythmic unity. He has won a national scholastic art competition, which resulted in his first commission to build a large outdoor welded-aluminum sculpture. Kevin continued his education at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore. Kevin’s sculpture can be found in public and private collections throughout America and Europe.
