O’Brien, Kevin

Kevin O’Brien was born in St. Helens, Lancashire. He studied at North Staffordshire Polytechnic and received a BA Honors. He also studied at the Royal College of Art in London. While there, he received the Minton Travel Award and the Hugh Dunn Award. In 1980, after receiving a scholarship from the Austrian Government, O’Brien taught and studied at the Sommerakademie in Salzburg. In 1983, Kevin was appointed Artist in Residence at the National Gallery in London. Kevin has had many exhibitions. He has shown at the Consort Gallery , the New Art Center, and the National Gallery in London. He also participated in the Basel International Art Fair in Basel, Switzerland.
